Saying Goodbye to Most Social Media

Today I deleted my Twitter account. Again. And also deactivated my Facebook account. I can’t delete it permanently until I figure out another way to chat with the people on my Messenger app. Because I’m an author, you’re probably wondering if I made a good decision. That’s understandable.

Everybody uses social media.

Everybody.

And it would stand to reason that those people on social media probably buy my books. You’d be right, but Facebook makes it impossible to reach those people without paying large sums of money, and honestly, if you’re a writer, you don’t have time to scroll the endless Facebook wheel all day. You’ve got books and articles to write.

I’ve thought about doing this for a very long time and I’m glad I went through with it. If you want to reach me, you can do so by email, which is actually the new “snail mail” with all the ways people can connect instantly anymore. I’m such a dinosaur… but now I’m a dinosaur with a lot more free time!
